To the MusicMinister.net mail folks:
Hi all!
I just got home from a wonderful Word-in-music workshop and fellowship in Tipp City, "Heartbeat II". Fred Grant did a GREAT job putting the event together and directing the time there. Lots of good learning, fellowship, and music. If we get to do it again, DO consider participating!
It's been awhile since I sent you news on the Music Minister project. You may recall the purpose is to promote and encourage congregational singing in home fellowships, song writing, and music skills for production and accompaniment. I started a website, www.MusicMinister.net, several months ago, and the first thing I hoped to do was post songs out there, especially using YouTube videos. I needed to upgrade my computer to accomplish that (and the upgrade is NOW in the works, YAY!!). But while at the Heartbeat one thing led to another, SO NOW ............ I am happy to announce a whole bunch of songs (audio only) have just been posted.
BACKGROUND: Several years ago I sat in front of a cassette recorder with the red "Sing Along The Way" children's songbook and took a shot at recording them, each and all. I had the sheet music for all, so, while the singing is not opera quality, what's there is pretty much as the song was written. I gave away a lot of these cassettes over the years, and more recently converted the set to audio CD. We still have many of those songs in our current songbook, plus there are many other wonderful songs that are lovely and useful.
I just added all these song recordings to the MusicMinister website at so you can hear how they go, and hear an example of a guitar accompaniment for them.
People's computers are set up differently ... on mine, I can click the song title link and "Quicktime" fires up and plays the song. If nothing happens on your computer, you should at least be able to right-click on the link and either save the file or open it. I don't know how many different things might happen other than that.
