God bless and hi!

I'm trying to start something.

I'd like to help build a line of communications among the community of Christian musicians I know, so I'm writing.

I'm addressing this note to:

1. People interested in being on a Christian music list who gave me their email address at the CFF Family Reunion
2. Others on my personal list who I think might like to be involved one way or another with the music side of the Christian ministry

I recognize music is a powerful tool to help the word of Christ dwell richly in people, and I'd like to help build a community of musicians who want to share their ability, teach, perform, write and arrange, encourage, coach, inspire, coordinate, spectate ... you know, all the good stuff that makes life sing.

We may end up moving this forum to a blog, to a viral network venue (e.g, Facebook, MySpace, Tangle, YouTube ...maybe a Web site...), we might be able to collaborate on writing commissioned songs that present scripture in support of teaching series, we might be able to help one another arrange, notate, or record music ... instrument advice ... tools ... coaching ... tracks ... critique ... proofread ... transcribe ...

At this point, all I ask is a reply to this note if you would like to be ON the email distribution list I'm putting together.

I will not publish anyone's email addresses without your specific permission. I am NOT looking to develop a forum for sales and marketing!!!

I WILL pass along email notes you send IF YOU ASK ME TO. I DO want to connect with others wanting to advance the things of God through music in our day and time, so we can do more bring our interest and skills into play in the body of Christ.

So ... if you would like to be on this email list ... or if you want me to use a different email address ( I have a couple of addresses for some of you!), or if you want OFF of this list ... please email me back and let me know.

Also, feel free to pass this info to others you think might be interested in being involved, and invite them to drop me a note.
